About Tupper

Tupper Tree Farms was started by Erwin and Allison Tupper in 2002 when Erwin was only 24-years-old .
Being raised in Tennessee, Erwin grew up surrounded by wholesale nurseries. He always had an interest in and a love for the outdoors, so starting this nursery was the most logical step. They began with 4 acres growing a handful of redbud, pear seedling and maple seedling for wholesale nurseries.
Ten years later, they have expanded to more than 100 acres, with many of the cutting edge varieties of maple, cherries, redbud along with other shade and ornamental trees available in bare root for nurseries and garden centers to either line out or put into containers for resale.
Erwin takes great pride in his trees. He takes a very hands-on approach, overseeing the grading, pruning and staking of trees. In the spring he can be found in the loading area, making sure that every tree that leaves his nursery is the quality that Erwin would want sent to him. Receiving this kind of individual care is a rare commodity these days. That's why he's on first name basis with his customers
Tupper Tree Farms can attribute much of their success to the fertile virgin soil that helps develope a more healthy tree vs some of the nurseries growing trees on tired nutrient deprived soil. Erwin's customers have had great success with the livability of the trees. Tupper Tree Farms predominantly grows about 10 varieties of dogwoods, 12 types of redbuds, and several other. Erwin is always on the lookout for new and cutting edge varieties, so he can provide his customers with new product.
Erwin and Allison have a 3 ½ year old boy. Being this young, he is not quite old enough to be working yet, but if it were up to him, he'd be working right along his dad. Please feel free to call and set up a time, so that you can visit the Tupper Tree Farms Nursery.
